Ms. Monroe was the Babe Ruth of Pin-Ups. She is frozen in time and never to be surpassed. Modern times cannot repeat the strange confluence of aesthetic and personality patterns that resulted in these timeless icons. The vintage material world can be revived and replicated (Cars, Furniture, Music etc.) but humans are too self aware and complicated to ever reissue these personalities with any authenticity. I think that we are better for it.
